The job hunt continues

I went back to O'Reilly's to check on the application and resume that I had turned in on the 10th of October. Steve, the manager, said to check back in on Tuesday because he didn't know anything new at the moment. Good news is that he sent it into his District Manager, so every O'Reilly's in the area has my application and resume now. So, that's good. Bad news is that I still don't have a job. I was looking through the paper yesterday evening and found a job at an animal rehabilitation center. I guess that's what you would call it. Where you take care of sick animals, at any rate. I would love to work there! I was going to go turn in my application and resume, but I forgot my resume because I was in such a big hurry ot get out the door so that I could make it to a doctor's appointment on time. The appointment ended up taking all the rest of the day, so I am going to try and get that turned in tomorrow. Although, I have two more appointments tomorrow also. Need to get that application in, though, before the position gets filled without me!

Just happened to come across this website that I found to be quite unique. But, first, a bit of history on how I could have possibly came across this site: When I was in the Army, I was a Medical Lab Tech (MLT). A lot of people don't really know what my career consists of. In short, anything thing that can come off of, or out of, your body; I examine in some way or another. Blood, urine, feces, semen, body fluids, you name it, I've studied it. We also specialize in Microbiology. One of my favorite fields in the MLT profession. Now, dealing with Microbiology, you get to grow things on plates and then see what grew during the night. So many different bugs that I'm not even going to get started on. That being said, here is the site:
www.giantmicrobes.com
It really is quite interesting even for someone who isn't versed in the technological side of it. I kind of like it, actually. Each microbe comes with it's own little card that says what it is and how you can get it, if I am not mistaken. Cute and funny.
